This week’s SEIBEI PROFILE is with my buddy KC Green!
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is KC Green. I write the comic BACK with friend and co-worker Anthony Clark. And I draw and write the comic Gunshow which is my own slice of life, gag-a-day comic. I’ve done a lot of drawing and comics in my years on earth. Prolific does not mean good.
What is your favorite SEIBEI tee?
RIP Homework would have to be it. I have nightmares about being back in school or in a school-like situation where I forgot to turn something in or left something without finishing and forgetting what it was. Always related around being back in school or college or whatever. In my dreams I know I’ve fricked up and have consequences to face. I wake up and slowly realize that it’s not the case anymore, but there is a still a feeling of unease inside of me that won’t leave. Reminding myself that I don’t have home work anymore or things like that to deal with is a nice feeling.
What are you working on right now?
I’m working on Back and Gunshow right now only. Trying to pitch some comic ideas to publishers who don’t get back to me right away. There’s always something I should be doing but I’m mostly sleeping and having those awful nightmares.
Editor’s note: since this interview (actually, earlier today), KC has announced that he’ll be adapting Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio here, beginning September 15th. Rad!
